Benjamin R. Record, D.D.S
Dentist
Dr. Benjamin Record is a native of Clinton, LA. In 1999, he received his B.S. from LSU in Baton Rouge and completed his certification in Doctor of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry in 2003. After graduating, he completed his two-year hospital dentistry residency (General Practice Residency) at LSU Medical Center (“Charity Hospital”) in New Orleans.
While in New Orleans, he developed his complex restorative dentistry and sedation dentistry skills while working with various cases and patients, including trauma patients, post-cancer, and surgical patients. The lessons he learned solidified the “mouth-body” connection, which emphasized that a healthy and functional oral cavity translates to a healthier body.
He also worked with medically compromised and special needs patients. This required him to be adept at managing medical issues and their oral health in cooperation with their physician(s). His interests lie in oral surgery, dentures, implants, trauma, dentistry in the operating room, and TMD management.
After completing his residency, Dr. Record was asked to be the director of the General Practice Residency program at LSUSD. During his tenure, he helped rebuild the GPR program after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, expanding the residency, which now has multiple residents in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Dr. Record now brings the enthusiasm, ingenuity, and creativity that helped grow the GPR program to his patients at Record Dental Center, in the growing City of Baton Rouge!
